Our aim is to get enough funds to get Betty and Eliot to school so that they will have a solid foundation and a good chance to create a beautiful future for themselves and their families. Betty is 5 years old and the youngest of the family. Her father abandoned the mother and 4 children when Betty was just 9 months old. Since then her mother has been struggling to get enough money for food for the children. She has been washing clothes for the neighbours in the community.
Eliot is 9 years old and he loves to draw. At home he does the cleaning like washing dishes and cleaning the floor. His father was a fisherman and died during work on the lake. His mother is uneducated and was left behind with 3 small children. She is very poor and does not have the money to pay for Eliot's education.
