AICC was established in 2007 by a teacher and preacher who compassionately saw the need to rescue hundreds of children abandoned on the street of Kampala and place them in schools and individual homes in order to provide for their strictly basic needs. Adoption initiative care centre which looks after orphans and vulnerable children is a registered charitable organization (CBO NO. WCBO/852/13). This organization has its head office at Seguku in Wakiso district near Kampala city. This organization was established with the aim of alleviating to a reasonable level, poverty and human suffering among orphans, vulnerable children and other neglected and abandoned children living in poor background in Wakiso district and Uganda.
